FormatZen is a free online image converter available at formatzen.com. We provide tools to convert JPG to JPEG, JPEG to PNG, PNG to JPG, resize images, apply filters, add watermarks, and convert images to PDF — all running entirely inside your browser.
What Data We Collect
We collect minimal data to operate the website:
- Usage data: We may collect anonymous analytics such as page views, browser type, and general location (country level) to understand how the site is used. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
- No image data: We do not collect, receive, store, or process any image files you use with our tools. All image processing happens in your browser using JavaScript.
- No account data: FormatZen does not require an account. We do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords.
Your Images Are Private
When you use FormatZen to convert, resize, filter, or otherwise process an image, that image is loaded directly into your browser’s memory and processed using JavaScript running on your device. The image data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
When you close the browser tab or navigate away, the image is automatically removed from memory. We have no technical ability to access your images, and we do not attempt to.
Cookies and Tracking
We may use minimal cookies or similar technologies for:
- Anonymous analytics to understand how the website is used
- Remembering basic preferences (such as language selection)
We do not use cookies to track individuals across websites, serve targeted advertising, or build user profiles. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting the core functionality of FormatZen.
